Pointe Claire in Montreal's West Island is a tiny sleepy town. Many people who don't know the name mistakenly believe that it is the West Island extends westward from Montreal. Since then, Brugel has been involved in more than 60 shows, large and small. The most notable was the time she was cast as Rita in The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel was the sole Canadian actor in the season 1 and was only seen on occasion.
